1/4 C. soft butter                   
drained sliced peaches
1/2 C. sugar                         
1/4-1/2 C. sugar
1 C. sifted flour                      
1 C. fruit juice
2 tsp. baking powder 
1/4 tsp. salt              
1/2 C. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream butter, sugar until light and fluffy.  Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.  Beat until smooth.  Pour into greased 1 1/2 qt. baking dish.  Spoon drained fruit over batter. Sprinkle with sugar and juice.  Bake 45-50 minutes.  Serve with ice cream.
