2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup ground almonds
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
3 eggs
2/3 cups dried sweet cherries

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350º.
2. Blend all dry ingredients.
3. Add eggs and vanilla to form dough.
4. Add cherries and nuts, and knead until well formed.
5. Form into two logs, approximately 9x3
6. Bake until browned on top, remove and cool.
7. Lower oven temperature to 325º.
8. Cut logs diagonally into 1/2 inch slices.
9. Rebake for 10 minutes on each side, remove and cool.
10. Store in an air tight bag.
