1 1/2 cups chopped unpared apples
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 egg - beaten
2 tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. each salt, cloves
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/3 cup raisins
1/4 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 325º. Grease bottom only of 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
Beat all ingredients on low speed for 1 minute, scraping bowl constantly. Beat on medium speed for 1 minute. Pour in pan. Bake 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes;remove from pan. Cool completely before slicing. Store in refrigerator.
