Ingredients:
Ingredients:
16 oz. regular or light cream cheese, softened
1 small onion, finely chopped
5 tbsp mayonnaise
12 oz canned crabmeat, drained and flaked (good quality crab)
1/8 tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
paprika (optional)
Ritz chips or crackers or round loaf of bread

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. In medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped onion, mayonnaise, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Gently stir in the crab. Spread mixture into a 1 quart baking dish. Top with paprika if desired.
3. Bake for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, cut a circle in the top of the bread round, and scoop out inside to create a bread bowl. Tear the removed bread into pieces for dipping.
4. Remove baked crab dip from the oven, and stir well. Spoon the mixture into the hollowed out loaf. Place bread bowl and chunks of bread on a medium baking sheet, and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Serve hot.

NOTE: If you decide not to use the bread bowl, simply bake the crab dip in the baking dish for 30-35 minutes, then scoop into a serving dish (or leave in baking dish) and serve with crackers.

Personal Notes:
This is so delicious!!! I use the crab that comes in the foil packets - found where they sell tuna and canned chicken. You can also add more crab if you like.
