6 egg whites
1/4 t. salt
1/2 t. cream of tartar
1 1/2 c. sugar

FILLING:
6 oz. cream cheese
2 c. minature marshmellows
1 pint whipping cream
1 c. sugar
1 t. vanilla

TOPPING:
Cherry pie filling or fresh or thawed strawberries

Directions:
Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar to peaks (not dry). Add sugar gradually while beating (beat a long time, about 15 minutes). Spread into a greased 9 x 13 cake pan. Put in oven preheated to 400 degrees. Turn off immediately. Leave in oven all night or all day.
FILLING: 6 oz. cream cheese, 2 cups minature marshallows, 1 pint whipping cream, 1 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla. Cream sugar, cheese and vanilla. Fold in whipped cream and marshmellows. Put on meringue and chill 8 hours. Serve in squares topped with cherry pie filling.
VARIATION: Fresh or thawed strawberries (sweetened).
