16 oz. frozen shredded hashbrowns
1 lb. hamburger
1 medium onion
salt and pepper to taste
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen mixed vegetables (I use 1 can mex-corn and 1 can peas)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. milk
6 slices american cheese
1 small can French fried onions

Directions:
Directions:
Butter 9 x 13" casserole on bottom and sides. Cover bottom of pan with hashbrowns. Brown hamburger and onion; drain. Place hamburger and onion on hashbrowns. Salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle vegetables over hamburger. Mix soup and milk; pour over casserole. Top with cheese slices and cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove foil and sprinkle with French fried onions; return to oven and leave 15 minutes with heat off.
