Mix and set aside:
1/4 cup red food coloring - (4) 1/2 oz bottles
2 1/2 tbsp nestles instant cocoa
Cream the following then beat until fluffy:
1/2 cup crisco
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
Add red mixture to sugar mix and beat-
Add 1 cup of buttermilk alternately with 2 1/2 cups cake flour (Sifted three times)
Fold the following into the above mixture:
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp soda
Pour batter into two 9 inch pans with bottoms greased and lined with wax paper. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees.

Mix well until creamy-
1 1/2 sticks margarine
4 1/2 tbsp crisco
1 1/2 cup sugar
Cook until thick then cool:
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 tbsp floor or corn starch
3 tbsp flavoring and add a little more milk
Combine the two mixtures and 3 tsp of vanilla and beat with mixer until it sits up like whipped cream. Spread between the layers and on the sides and top.
