3 1/2 cups flour
1 1/4 cup Crisco
1 egg, separated
5 T. milk
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, salt, shortening until mixture resembles
coarse crumbs. Mix egg yolks and milk and stir into flour mixture. Pat dough in bottom of 9X13 pan. Add 5 cups plus of sliced apples. Mix 3 T. flour, 1 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon over apples. Dot with butter. Roll dough and spread over apples and brush with egg whites. Bake 350, 45 minutes to 1 hour. Top when done with a drizzle of icing.
Icing: 2/3 cup confectioner sugar, water and vanilla.
