Butter for browning onions and meatballs
1/2 lb. ground pork
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground veal
25 whole allspice - crushed
2 eggs
1 medium onion, chopped fine and browned
1 c. milk
1 c. breadcrumbs
1/2 -1 tsp. white pepper
11/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Brown onions in butter. Mix all remaining ingredients and onions in a large bowl. Add the milk slowly, you may not need the whole cup. Roll meatballs into 11/2 inch balls. Brown in butter and transfer to baking dish when done. Bake at 350º for half an hour.
