1 C. Water
4 Lipton Green Tea Bags (any variety)
1/4 C. Dark Brown Sugar (firmly packed)
4 Lg. Cooking Apples (cored)
Rome or Golden Delicious
1/4 C. Chopped Walnuts (optional)
2 T. Raisins (optional)
1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
4 tsp. Butter (or ”I can't believe it's not
butter”)

Directions:
Bring water to boil in a 1 quart sauce pan. Remove from heat; add tea bags and brew 1 - 2 minutes, dunking occasionally. Remove tea bags and squeeze, set aside. Peel top 1/3 of apples. Using 8 inch baking dish, arrange apples, peeled end up and set aside. In a small bowl combine brown sugar, walnuts, raisins and cinnamon. Evenly spoon walnut mixture into center of each
each apple. Then spread evenly with butter spread. Pour tea over and around apples. Bake uncovered, basting occasionally 1 hour or until apples are tender.
