6 slices of cooked turkey
12 slices of white bread
6 slices of Swiss cheese
6 slices of cooked ham

1 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
1 Tablespoon of baking powder
1/4 tsp of salt
1 1/3 cups of water
1 egg

oil for deep frying.
Powdered sugar
Jelly( optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Place 1 slice of turkey on each of 6 slices of bread, top the turkey with a slice of cheese and a slice of ham. Top sandwiches with remaining slices of bread. Cut each sandwich into quarters, using wood picks to hold the quarters together. Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
Add water to beaten egg and add to flour mixture.
Mix well.
Dip each sandwich quarter into batter and fry in oil heated to 360 degrees until golden brown.
Remove picks and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Serve with Jelly if desired.
