2 lb ground chuck
29 oz can diced tomatoes
29 oz can tomato sauce
29 oz can kidney beans with liquid
29 oz can pinto beans with liquid
1 cup diced onion (1 medium onion)
½ cup diced green chili (2 chilis)
½ cup diced celery
¼ cup chili powder
¼ cup green pepper, finely chopped
½ tsp sugar
2 tsp cumin
1 ½ tsp black pepper
2 tsp salt
2 cups water

Directions:

Crumble and cook ground chuck. In a large pot, combine beef and all ingredients and bring to a simmer over low heat. Cook, stirring every 15 minutes or so for 2-3 hours. (I usually cook it in the crock pot all day).

We like to eat this over steamed rice or with cheese on top and tortilla scoops! My daughter fixed this in a local Chili Cook-Off. She substituted Venison for ground chuck and swears this is why she won the contest!
