1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1/4 c. milk
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 c. (1 small) onion, finely chopped
15-oz. can tomato puree
1/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 to 1 t. liquid smoke sauce
1/2 t. dry mustard
1 t. salt
1/2 t. pepper

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease 13x9" pan. In large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, garlic and onion. Shape into small meatballs; place in prepared pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
In medium saucepan, combine tomato puree, brown sugar, liquid smoke sauce, dry mustard, salt and pepper. Add meatballs; simmer 45-50 minutes. Serve warm in small crockpot or chafing dish. 36 meatballs.
