2 T. soy sauce
2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 T. cornstarch
2 T. salad oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. fresh broccoli (or 20 oz. frozen brocolli)
1/2 medium onion, sliced
1 1/4 c. beef broth
3/4 lb. beef, thinly sliced

Marinate beef in mixture of soy sauce, sugar, ginger and 2 tsp. of the cornstarch for 30 minutes. Parboil the fresh brocolli (cut into small bitesize pieces), or thaw frozen brocolli. Heat oil in a skillet. Stir fry onion, garlic and beef on high heat for 1 minute. Combine remaining (1 tsp.) cornstarch, salt and beef broth. Add to beef mixture and reduce heat. Cook 2-3 minutes or until gravy thickens.
