5 cups apple pulp that has been through mill or sieve
3 cups sugar
1--3oz.package of strawberry jello powder

Directions:
Directions:
Combine apple pulp and sugar in heavy pot and bring gently to a boil ,stirring until it begins to thicken
add strawberry jello powder and bring back to boil
remove from heat and ladel into small hot sterilized jars ,leaving a little room at the top, place snap lids on jars and leave to cool until jars have sealed.Store in cool dark place

This is another way to use up pulp from the many crabapples we use to make apple jelly.
Appleauce is wonderful but this is one other way to use up the pulp. Edna usually puts her jars in boiling bath for about 10 minutes ,,I never found this necessary when you use up jam in a few months.
