1 cup butter
1 cup shortening
4 cups packed brown sugar
4 eggs
3 tsp soda
4 T warm water
8 cups flour
2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs to a froth, add sugar, butter and shortening. Cream together. Add soda to warm water, than add to mixture. Add salt. Mix. Add flour, 1 cup at a time. Roll into a loaf and refrigerate several hours.
Slice with a sharp knife. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 375º for about 10-12 minutes.
