1 1/2 cups sifted confectioners sugar
1 egg
1 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond
(you can use all vanilla flavoring)
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and butter, add egg and flavoring. Mix thoroughly. Sift in dry ingredients together and stir in. Refrigerate (2 or 3 hours). Heat oven to 375. Roll dough on lightly floured board (very thin for crisp or 1/2 inch for a softer cookie) place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 7 or 8 mintes until brown.
