Pie Crust:
4 c. flour
2 c. Crisco shortening
1 c. cold water
1-2 tsp. salt

Apple filling:
3/4-1 c. sugar
2 T. flour
1/2 to 1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
2 T. butter
6-7 c. sliced apples

Directions:
Directions:
Mix crust recipe with fork (cutting in the flour into the Crisco, etc.). Refrigerate to chill dough thoroughly before rolling out. May do overnight.
Filling: Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir lightly through apples. Heap in pastry lined pan. Dot with butter. Crust on top.
