1 TSP. SALT
2 TSP BAKING POWDER
2 TSP. GRATED ORANGE RIND
3 TBSP. FINELY CHOPPED PECANS
6 OZ. CREAM CHEESE
1 C. BUTTER
1/2 C. ORANGE JUICE

SIFT FLOUR, SALT AND BAKING POWDER TOGETHER. BLEND IN ORANGE RIND AND CHOPPED PECANS. CREAM THE CHEESE AND BUTTER TOGETHER. CUT IN THE FLOUR MIXTURE AND KNEAD INTO SOFT DOUGH. STIR IN ORANGE JUICE AND KEEN 3 MIN. TURN DOUGH OUT ONTO A LIGHTLY FLOURED SURFACE. ROLL INTO A 1/4 INCH SQUARE AND CUT WITH A SMALL,FLOURED, BISCUIT CUTTER. PLACE ON AN UNCREASED BALING SHEET AND TOP EACH WITH A PECAN HALF. BAKE IN PREHEATED 400 DEGREE OVEN FOR 15 TO 20 MINUTES.
