1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup melted butter
1 large egg
1/2 cup warm milk
1/4 cup warm water
1 package active dry yeast
2 1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon mace
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Directions:
Directions:
Put wrm water in bowl-sprinkle in dry yeast and stir until dissolved. Add the sugar, salt, butter, large egg and milk and mix well. Ad in the flour, mace and nutmeg. Beat this one minute by hand until well mixed. Cover and allow to rise 45 minutes. After rising, beat 30 strokes and put in a well greased 8 x 12inch baking dish.
Make a mixture of 3/4 to 1 cup bown sugar,
3/4 stick melted butter and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
Sprinkle over top. Cover and allow to rise 30 minutes. Bake for 15 minutes at 400ºF.
