Cake:
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. sugar
2 c. all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. chopped nuts
3 eggs
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
4-5 apples, cored, peeled and diced
Icing:
4 tbsp. butter
8 oz pkg. cream cheese
2 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/8 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
For cake, mix together all ingredients, one at a time, in the order listed. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 baking pan. Bake at 350º for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool on wire rack before icing. To prepare icing, blend together all ingredients until smooth. Serves 10 to 12.
