3 C sugar
1 C Crisco salad oil
4 eggs
l can pumpkin
3 1/2 C sifted flour
2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 t baking powder
2/3 c water
1 t each: nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon
1/2 t ground cloves
1 t vanilla
1 c pecans, chopped
1 c raisins

Grease and flour 2 loaf pans. Cream sugar & oil, add eggs
beating well. Add pumpkin and all dry ingredients, then water,
vanilla, nuts and raisins. Bake 350 1 1/2 hr. Refrigerate or
