8 ice cubes

1 1/2 cups blood orange juice or orange juice

1/4 cup tequila

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon orange brandy or liqueur

1 tablespoon mauby drink concentrate, optional (see note)

1 lemon wedge

Granulated sugar

2 lemon slices

Chill 2 cocktail glasses. Fill a cocktail shaker with the ice cubes. Add blood orange juice, tequila, lemon juice, brandy and mauby concentrate. Shake vigorously to blend and chill. Moisten rims of glasses with lemon wedge, then dip rims in sugar. Strain cocktail into glasses. Garnish with lemon slices.
