1/2 C. butter 3 1/4 C. flour
1/2 C shortening 1 tsp. soda
1 C sugar 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 C brown sugar Mint wafers
2 eggs Walnut halves
2 T. water
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and shortening. Add sugar and brown sugar, then add eggs, water and vanilla. Blend in flour, soda and salt. Chill the dough. Shape 1 T. of dough around a mint wafer. Top with a walnut half. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degree for 10 -12 minutes
