2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup oatmeal
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup white chocolate chips
1/3 cup butterscotch chips
3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º F.
Cream butter, shortening, sugars and vanilla in large bowl. Add eggs one at a time and mix until well combined.
In a separate bowl sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to butter mixture-add oatmeal last. Stir in chips and nuts and mix until well combined.
Drop by heaping teaspoonsful onto UNGREASED baking sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
Allow to cool slightly on pans before removing to racks.
Store in airtight container.
Makes about 2 1/2 dozen large cookies to share with your friends.
