2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup milk, heated

Topping:
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
2 Tbsp. milk or cream
1/2 cup coconut (can substitute nuts)
1 Tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs until frothy. Beat in sugar in small additons. Stir in vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Heat milk and butter together, add stirring carefully. Scrape into a greased 8 x 8 pan. Bake at 350F for 25 minutes.

Combine topping ingredients in a saucepan. Heat and stir until hot and sugar has dissolved. Spread over cake and return to oven for 3 - 5 minutes.
