1½ lbs. - round steak
2 to 3 T. - soy sauce
1 (10.5 oz.) can - French onion soup
1 tsp. - pepper
1 T. - cornstarch
1 (14 oz.) can - whole tomatoes
¼ c. - water
1 - green pepper, seeded & cut up
hot cooked rice OR mashed potatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Cut round steak into thin strips. In skillet, cook and stir beef strips until no longer pink. Add soup and liquid from tomatoes; simmer 30 minutes. Add green pepper; simmer 15 minutes. Cut tomatoes into quarters; add soy sauce and pepper. In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water; stir into meat mixture. Heat and stir until mixture boils and thickens. Serve over rice.
