1 c butter
1 c white sugar
1/2 c light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 c semisweet chocolate chips
2 c flaked coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375º. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Fold in chocolate chips and coconut. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
