2 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. shortening
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
6 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Use a large mixer because this dough is very heavy and stiff.
Cream shortening, sugars and eggs. Add dry ingredients.

Roll dough into 1 ½ -2 inch diameter rolls. Wrap well and refrigerate or freeze.
Slice 1/4 inch and bake 10 minutes @375º.

VARIATIONS:
Add Heath toffee bits to dough before rolling into roll
Rasin filled cookies : use one cookie on the bottom and fill with raisins and another cookie on top seal edges with fork.
Sprinkle with coconut
