3 sticks of butter, (1 1/2 c.)
1 1/4 c. packed brown sugar,
1 c. white sugar,
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract,
3 3/4 c. flour.
1 c. quick-cooking oats
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
12 oz pkg M&M's mini baking bits (or chocolate chips)

Directions:

Preheat over to 350 º.

Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla extract and combine.

In separate bowl, combine flour, oats, baking soda and salt.

Add to creamed mixture and combine. Add baking bits or chocolate chips and mix through dough.

Spread dough onto an ungreased 11 x 17 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 º for 25 to 30 minutes, or until light golden brown and firm. Cool in pan. When cool, cut into squares. Makes 32 bars.
