2 cups peeled apples, diced
1 cup of sugar

1 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoon soda
1 egg

Sauce for Cake
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons white flour
1 cup water
Directions:
Directions:
Mix apples and sugar and let sit for 2 hours.
add 1 egg to apples and then add dry ingredients, then add 1/2 cup nuts. Bake in a greased pan at 375ºF for 35 - 40 minutes.

Sauce
Mix together in a medium saucepan, brown sugar, white sugar, flour and water. Cook over medium heat until it thickens, then add 1/4 cup butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Serve warm sauce over cake.
