2 cups sugar
3/4 cups milk
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2 T. light corn starch
2 T. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the first four ingredients in a heavy sauce pan, heat
slowly to a boil.

Cook over moderate heat to soft-ball stage, 234 degrees. A
drip of chocolate dropped in cold water will form a ball when
ready.

Remove from heat and add butter.

After it cools a bit add vanilla dn stir until cool with a wooden
spoon.

Pour into buttered pan.

Slice into squares when almost hard.
