1 Stick Butter or Margarine
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Buttermilk
1/2 Teaspoon Soda
1 Tablespoon Karo Syrup
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Place all ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.

Let boil 2 minutes.

Pour over cake while the sauce is still very hot.

Pick holes in the cake with a fork allowing the sauce to go into the cake.

Let cool.

Store in the refrigerator.
