1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
2 tbsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. chocolate chips
1 c. nutmeats (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortenings, sugars, eggs, corn syrup, water and vanilla. Beat well. Combine flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Beat well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by cookie scoop on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12-14 minutes or until very light browned. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet. Cool the rest of the way on cookie racks.
