2½ c. - all-purpose flour
1 c. - sugar
1 c. - butter OR margarine, softened
1 - egg
1 (10 oz.) jar - raspberry preserves OR your favorite flavor

Directions:
Directions:
Grease 8 in. square pan. Preheat oven to 350º. In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except preserves. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed—2 to 3 minutes. Reserve 1½ c. of mixture; set aside. Press remaining mixture into pan. Spread preserves to within ½ in. from edge. Crumble reserved mixture over preserves Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely, then cut into bars.
