2¾ cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
1 egg
2 Tbsp. shortening
½ cup honey
¾ cup milk
¼ cup buttermilk
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325ºF. Grease a 9x5x3" loaf pan.
2. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
3. Beat egg, shortening and honey in a bowl. Stir in flour mixture alternating with milk and buttermilk just until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in raisins and pecans. Spoon into pan.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour and 10 mins or until wooden toothpick inserted in the center tests clean. If browning too fast, cover with foil. Remove bread from pan to rack. Let stand overnight before slicing.
