1 lb. raisins
1 lb. currants
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 lb. or more mixed dried fruit
(citron, lemon, orange, dates)
1/2 oz. mixed spices
(2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp, cloves, tsp.
nutmeg or mace.)
6 eggs beaten
1/2 c. sweet milk
1 lb. suet ground
1 lb. bread crumbs
1 c. flour

Mix all ingredients. Moisten and lightly flour pudding bag. Put pudding in bag and boil for 6 hours in large pan. Can fasten bag to handles of pan so bag floats.

This recipe is from Mary Smith Marshall's father's family who came from England. It was favorite of her dad, Walter. It was served at Christmastime at her uncle Henry and aunt Rose Smith's home and brought flaming to the table.
