1 1/2 cups long grain white rice only
1 can of French Onion soup
1 can of beef Consommé
1/2 stick of butter
Fresh sliced mushrooms or 1 small can of sliced mushrooms, drained (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Mix rice, soups, sliced butter and mushrooms in a casserole dish.
Cover with foil.
Cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until all liquid is absorbed and the rice is done.

This recipe takes me back to holidays with my mother. This was always part of our holiday table. This recipe has been around for many years. I see it online and on cooking shows like it is something new but it isn't.
