5 lbs. pork spareribs, cut into 6 sections
1T. vegetable oil
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2/3 c. ketchup
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. cider vinegar
2 T. worcestershire sauce
1 t. dry mustard

Directions:
Combine spareribs and enough water to cover in a large dutch. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce ehat to low. Simmer until ribs are no longer pink, about 25 minutes; drain.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Saute' onion and garlic in hot oil for 5 minutes.

Add the ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, dry mustard to onion mixture in skillet and mix well.

Reduce the heat to low. Simmer sauce, stirring frequently, for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 375º.

Bruch barbecue sauce over both sides of ribs. Arrange ribs on a rack in a baking pan. Bake, basting sauce and turning every 5 minutes, for 30 minutes.
