1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg beaten
1 can cream style corn
¼ cup bacon drippings,
¼ cup chopped onions
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
Honey optional

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl: set aside. In another bowl, combine buttermilk and egg, add corn and remaining ingredients. Add to dry ingredients, stir

Pour batter into a greased 8 inch baking pan.
Bake at 400º for 35 minutes.

Drizzle with honey if desired.
