½ cup margarine
1 (8 oz) bar cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1½ teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
2¼ cups unsifted flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 (8 oz) candied fruit, finely chopped
¾ cup nuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and eggs until light and fluffy.
Add dry ingredients and mix well.
Fold in candied fruit and nuts.
Pour into a greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350°F for 45–50 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool before slicing.
