2/3 c crisco. (1/2 c butter or oil)
3 eggs
1 1/2 c sugar.
2 c chopped apples. (3)
2 1/2 c flour
2 tsp each soda, cinnamon, 1/2 cloves,1/2 nutmeg
1 tsp salt
1/2 c buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Cream crisco, add sugar, then eggs. Add dry ingredients and buttermilk alternately. Add apples. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake 350º until brown, about 45 min.
