1 1/4-1 1/2lb ground beef
1c ketchup
1/2 medium onion, diced
1 sm-med green pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, diced
1tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp red pepper flake
1 tsp ground mustard
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 1/2-2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 pack oversized burger buns
Some butter for toasting buns (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet or Dutch oven, brown the beef

Drain off any excess fat and add in your onions and peppers

Sauté for 5 minutes or so, then add the garlic

Continue stirring another minute or so

Make a little hole and add the tomato paste, spread it around and toast off a bit until it becomes bright red, about 2 min

Add your spices/sugar, and stir

Deglaze with Worcestershire; stir in ketchup, then water, and simmer for 5-8 minutes

In a separate skillet, toss in some butter and toast your buns.
