1 lb breadfast sausage
1 T fat
3 C milk ( not skimmed)
1 t salt
1/2 C corn meal
3 egg
3/4 C grated American cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Brown sausage drain and reserve 1 T fat. Heat fat, milk and salt to almost boiling, quickly stir in corn meal. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Spoon one cup of mixture into 2 cup measure. Gradually add 3 egg yolks stirring quickly so as not to cook eggs prematurely. Return this mixture to pan along with cooked sausage saving 1/3 cup for top. Remove from heat. Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually fold egg whites into sausage mixture. Pour into a greased 2 Qt casserole. Top with reserve sausage. and 3/4 C grated American cheese. Bake at 350 for 55-60 min until center firm. Serve immediately.
