Ingredients:	Ingredients: 12 oz. egg noodles, prepared according to package directions 12 oz. package of bacon, chopped into 1" pieces 6 T. butter 1 small head cabbage, chopped into 1" pieces 1 1/2 t. salt 1/4 t. pepper

Directions:	Directions: Prepare egg noodles according to package directions and set aside in a large bowl Add bacon pieces to a large, deep pan and cook over medium heat until crispy Use a slotted spoon to move bacon pieces from the pan into the bowl of noodles, reserving bacon drippings in pan Add butter, cabbage, salt and pepper to pan Cover and cook until cabbage is soft and wilted, about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally Add cabbage to the bowl of noodles and bacon, toss to combine This frugal and simple meal happens to be one of my husbands favorites. We always serve it with a side of applesauce.
