1 CUP BROWN SUGAR, PACKED
12 TBSP BUTTER, SOFTENED (1 ½ STICKS)
2 ¼ (2 CUPS + 4 TBSP) CUPS FLOUR
2 tsp BAKING SODA
1 tsp CINNAMON
¼ tsp SALT
1 tsp GROUND GINGER
½ tsp GROUND CLOVES (I DON'T USE)
1 EGG
¼ CUP MOLASSES

CREAM TOGETHER THE BUTTER AND SUGAR WITH A PADDLE ATTACHMENT. SLOWLY BEAT IN THE EGGS AND MOLASSES UNTIL BLENDED. COMBINE THE FLOUR, BAKING SODA, CINNAMON, GINGER, CLOVES AND SALT

ADD THE DRY INGREDIENTS TO THE MIXTURE AND BLEND UNTIL INCORPORATED. SCRAPE BOWL BEFORE MIXING ONCE MORE TO ENSURE ALL INGREDIDNTS ARE THOROUGHLY MIXED
