1 c rice
2 c water
tiny pinch of salt
Milk

Use a double boiler kettle.

Put ~2" of water in bottom pan of the double boiler.

Cook rice until the water is absorbed, then add sugar and milk to cover rice and gently cook until rice is very soft. You may need to continue to add milk as it cooks and absorbs the moisture until it is the consistency you like.

Mom made this for dessert and we would put some of her canned peaches and juice on it with a sprinkle of cinnamon. It was always served warm and good on a cold evening.
