Refrigerator Rolls Recipe

2 pkgs. granular yeast
1 tsp. sugar
1 c. warm water
2 c. milk (scalded)
⅔ c. melted shortening
¾ c. sugar
4 tsp. salt
2 beaten eggs
10-11 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Soften yeast and dissolve sugar in water. Add milk, cooled to lukewarm, shortening, sugar and salt. Add eggs. Beat well and add flour to make a soft dough. Let stand 10 minutes. Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl; grease top and cover. Store in refrigerator (or let dough rise until doubled then shape rolls and let rise again. Shape rolls about two hours before serving. Let rise until doubled in bulk. Bake in hot oven 400-425º for 15-20 minutes. Punch down unused dough and return to refrigerator. Makes 4-5 dozen medium sized rolls.

On bottom of pan place the following mixed ingredients:
⅓ c. brown sugar
⅔ c. honey
3 T. melted butter

Icing:
1 c. powdered sugar
¼ tsp. vanilla (maple or any flavor
1 T. milk
