3 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
⅓ cup soft shortening or butter
3 tbsp cream
1½ tsp vanilla

Blend confectioners' sugar and shortening or butter together. Stir in cream and vanilla until smooth. If you want to change the color adda few drops of food coloring.
