For the filling:
1 cup dried apple rings, diced
½ cup apple juice or water
2 tbsp butter
¼ cup brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon

For the dough:
2 cups Bisquick baking mix
½ cup milk
1-2 tbsp sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Put apple rings in saucepan with butter, sugar and cinnamon and cook down until consistency of a thick applesauce. Remove from heat and let the filling cool completely.
Preheat the oven to 375º and grease or line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. In a bowl, combine the Bisquick and sugar. Add the milk and stir with a fork until a soft dough forms. Avoid over mixing. turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll it to about ¼-inch thickness and cut into 6-8 rounds. Place 1-2 tbsp of applesauce mixture on each round. Moisten edges. Fold over. Press edges firmly together. Place the turnovers on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
